A finder can scan the QR code with a phone camera or tap the NFC chip with a compatible phone. The profile opens in a browser, so the finder does not need the Ask A Vet app. The tag needs no battery or charging.

Your pet's details, kept up to date

Add owner and backup contacts, emergency instructions, allergies, medications, diet notes and vet details. Update the profile when your details change without replacing the tag.

The essential ID profile is free for the life of the tag. Optional app upgrades are available.

Scan alerts and location

With scan notifications enabled, you can receive an alert in the Ask A Vet app. A scan may include the finder's location when permission is granted and location data is available. This is an identification tag. It does not provide GPS or health tracking.
